Value-based pricing

Setting a price from the value the customer gets, not from your costs or competitors' prices. It starts with what the problem costs the buyer and what the product saves or earns them, then takes a share of that. Usually yields higher prices and clearer sales arguments, but requires knowing customers well enough to put a number on the value.
