Consumers protect spending on children, health and pets and cut nearly everything else

Under cost-of-living pressure, spending is triaged by love: spending on children (+21% net), healthcare (+8%) and pets (+3%) are protected while big-ticket items (-31%), alcohol (-31%), home decor (-28%) and eating out (-26%) fund the cuts. 36% say they have cut back on things they used to consider necessities.
