Jeep: Silent Edition
Jeep challenged Publicis Canada to shift perceptions of their new Cherokee Hybrid. The goal was to move away from traditional 'conquering nature' tropes and demonstrate the vehicle's unique hybrid capability. The client wanted to reach environmentally conscious outdoor enthusiasts by proving that the vehicle could navigate remote wilderness without disturbing wildlife, ultimately establishing a new standard for responsible, quiet off-road performance.
Creative Idea
The vehicle was framed as a silent camera accessory for ethical wildlife photography.
Jeep positioned the Cherokee Hybrid’s silent electric motor as an essential tool for conservation photography, proving that true off-road capability is defined by the ability to move through nature without disturbing its fragile, wild state.
Redefining Capability Through Silence and Stillness
The campaign achieved significant traction, generating over 11 million impressions within a two-week window. This reach included 5.27 million people and 5.5 million dedicated international media impressions, proving that a quiet, conservation-focused message could compete with traditional high-octane automotive advertising. The work earned coverage in major global trade outlets like Ad Age, The Drum, and Muse by Clio, while the behind-the-scenes film garnered 143,000 verified views.
Two Days in Muskoka
Production was intentionally minimal to protect the integrity of the wildlife habitat. Shot over two days in the remote wilderness of Muskoka, Northern Ontario, the crew operated with a small footprint and no staging. Because the appearance of animals was never guaranteed, the team relied on the vehicle's hybrid performance to navigate the terrain without alerting local fauna. This patience paid off, resulting in rare captures of an elusive Canada lynx, sensitive owls, and a red fox sleeping in the snow.
The Vehicle as Equipment

Rather than treating the 2026 Jeep Cherokee Hybrid as a prop, the agency integrated it as an essential piece of photography gear. By utilizing the vehicle's silent electric motor, Patricia Homonylo was able to approach subjects that would have been scared off by a standard combustion engine. As Vini Dalvi, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Canada, noted, this approach reimagined the vehicle's role: "Quiet becomes a new expression of capability. It allows you to reach remote environments and move through them with less disruption." The campaign’s mantra, "Let the wild stay wild," served as the guiding principle for both the photography and the production of the natural-sound-only behind-the-scenes film.
