In an era dominated by AI and CGI, director Steve Rogers and set designer Steven Jones-Evans opted for a radical commitment to physical production. Every surreal environment - from the vertical dining room to the pottery studio - was a handcrafted, physical build. This "zero special effects" mandate by HeimatTBWA\ Berlin meant the production relied on ingenious mechanical engineering rather than post-production tricks. To achieve the precise, fluid movements required for these cramped spaces, the team bypassed traditional actors, instead casting pantomimes and dancers from Paris who possessed the body control necessary to navigate the vertical sets.
