Raiffeisen Bank: unoriginal
Raiffeisen Bank and MullenLowe Bucharest sought to address the inefficiency of NGOs constantly reinventing communication campaigns. The client wanted to maximize the impact of social good initiatives by enabling organizations to bypass the creative process and deploy proven, effective strategies. The goal was to build a platform that turned advertising's obsession with originality on its head, prioritizing real-world results over creative vanity for non-profits worldwide.
Creative Idea
The campaign turned advertising's worst insult into a platform for sharing proven social solutions.
Raiffeisen Bank launched unoriginal.work, a global open-source platform where NGOs can legally download, adapt, and reuse successful, award-winning social good campaign assets, proving that multiplying effective ideas is more valuable than the industry obsession with creative originality.
Turning Advertising's Worst Insult Into Impact
A Global Repository for Good
The platform functions as an open-access digital portal where NGOs can access complete execution kits. These kits include essential assets such as strategy blueprints, raw design files, scripts, and high-quality video content. By removing the barrier to entry for high-impact communication, the platform allows organizations to bypass the costly and time-consuming creative process, ensuring that proven solutions for blood donation, cancer treatment, and shelter are not lost to the industry's obsession with novelty.
The Power of Radical Replication
The initiative launched with 22 shared, award-winning campaign blueprints, including the notable *MagicHOME* project, which previously raised over €1 million for children diagnosed with cancer. Since its inception, the platform has seen significant global adoption, with over 300 NGOs registering from more than 65 countries. This collaborative ecosystem has already facilitated over 800 toolkit downloads, proving that the industry's standard aversion to "unoriginal" work is a hurdle to social progress.

Confessions and Cultural Shifts
To drive engagement, the agency implemented "confession booths" at industry events. These activations invited marketers, creatives, and NGO representatives to openly admit which social good campaigns they wished they had created and wanted to repurpose. This served as a physical manifestation of the campaign's core philosophy: that real-world impact should always supersede creative ego. As Florian Langa, Group Creative Director, noted, the project challenges the industry to move beyond the awards stage and provide NGOs with tangible, ready-to-use tools. The campaign successfully generated over 42 million views across digital and television channels, forcing a necessary conversation about the ethics of creative ownership in the non-profit sector.
